The Voyage

Where she is today.

The Steadfast is a two-masted wooden ketch, and she is under way. She left home port on 1 October 2026 on her shakedown, up the coast to New York, and comes in past the Battery on commissioning day. Then Voyage I: twelve ports in a year. Her position is worked out for every day of it, and every port she makes, something lands.

Ports of the voyage

Every port is a drop.

Something lands wherever she makes port: new stores for the Chandlery, a short run made for that port, a page of the Log, the crew's kit, a table ashore. The dates hold as long as the weather does.
