About him
The name belongs to him.
Agwe is the master of the sea: admiral of the waters and patron of everyone who makes a living on them.
Who he is
Blue and white, saluted like an admiral.
Agwe rules the sea and everything that moves on it: ships, fishermen, sailors, travelers. His colors are blue and white. He is pictured as a naval officer in full dress, at home on the water and beneath it.
He is greeted with salutes, the way a ship greets an admiral. His table is laid on the water: a small decorated boat carries out coffee, cake and champagne. He is generous, formal and unhurried, and he expects the same of those who sail under him.
The stories differ from teller to teller; they belong to the people who keep them. This page is our reading, not a teaching.
Our reading
What a grooming house can honestly take from an admiral of the sea.
The host
The offerings set out for him are a table: coffee, cake, champagne, laid on a small boat and sent onto the water. We read that as hospitality. A well-kept man is a good host, first to himself.
The standard
He is saluted like an officer and dressed like one. Not for show: a uniform is a promise to keep yourself in order so that others can count on you. That's the whole idea of a routine.
The calm hand
The sea is the most powerful thing on earth, and its master is pictured calm. Strength without noise. The opposite of the shouting, flexing kind of men's grooming we were tired of.
The lines we don't cross
Respect is a rule, not a mood.
Our mark is a sail inside a rope ring, dated 2026: a small boat with its canvas full. It borrows nothing sacred: no holy symbols, no altar objects, no likeness of him.
- 01Agwe belongs to a living tradition. We don't portray him, and nothing we make is used in service to him.
- 02No sacred symbols, no altars, no ritual diagrams on a label, in a post or on this site. Our marks are a sail, a rope ring and the public signal flags of the sea.
- 03The officers in the Ship's Log are human archetypes of a crew, never spirits.
- 04Our products are cosmetics. They don't protect, bless or heal anything, and we will never say they do.
- 05New lore, characters and campaigns go to a cultural advisor before they go out.
The sister house
Erzulie Freda
Street art, neon and devotion: Erzulie Freda is the louder sibling, built on the same honest formulas. Two houses, two very different rooms, one table.
